17th TourMIS Users’ Workshop & International Seminar on the Future of Business Travel and Events Following the COVID-19 Pandemic

The 17th TourMIS Users’ Workshop & International Seminar on the Future of Business Travel and Events Following the COVID-19 Pandemic “Unlocking the Secrets for a Sustainable Transition” will be hosted in Vienna on 8-9 September 2022. The event is organised by the European Travel Commission, MODUL University Vienna and the City Destinations Alliance. The event targets national, regional and city Destination Management Organisations (DMOs) as well as academia and tourism businesses from the private sector.

Day 1: By attending the workshop on the first day, led by Professor Karl Wöber, founder of TourMIS, participants will learn how to enter tourism statistics into the system and how to use the various benchmarking tools to produce valuable market research reports.

Day 2: The international seminar on ‘The Future of the Business Travel and Events Following the COVID-19 Pandemic’ on day two will be led by ETC and will involve the participation of experts from the MICE and the Business Travel sectors. The key topics of the seminar will include ‘Trends and Outlooks’, ‘Sustainable Transition’, and a debate on ‘ The Future of  Events: Digital, Physical, or Hybrid?’
