Trade Reassurance Campaign in North America

Restoring confidence among the Canadian travel trade

The European Travel Commission (ETC) is developing a trade reassurance campaign in North America. The campaign will showcase Europe being ready to welcome North American travellers when the time is right.

ETC has planned numerous activities in spring 2021 to train travel agents and tour operators on the implementation of strict European safety protocols and showcase numerous travel experiences for travellers who are curious about nature and the outdoors, creative cities and history and ancestry. These include a landing page, a series of native, video ads, email marketing, newsletters and webinars which will be hosted in English media channels in the USA both English and French speaking channels in Canada.

The goal of this North American-specific campaign is to restore confidence and build a distinctive image of Europe as a desirable travel destination for North American travellers , all highlighting Europe’s tourism industry commitment to health and safety protocols, while at the same time showcasing the Europe brand via inspiring experiences.
