ETC is pleased to partner with the inaugural ‘A World for Travel’ Forum 2020, taking place on 5-6 November 2020 in the beautiful medieval town of Evora, a UNESCO Heritage site outside of Lisbon, Portugal. Organised by the French media group, Eventiz with the support of VisitPortugal and the Alentejo Region and in partnership with The Global Travel and Tourism Resilience Council, ‘A World for Travel’ is set to be the first global, B2B travel event held in person as well as virtually since the onset of COVID-19. Virtual or physical attendance is free of charge.
The event is focused on the consequences of the COVID-19 pandemic and will include lively discussions, difficult debates and a number of practical workshops designed to come up with a blueprint for the urgent transformation of global travel & tourism industry.
Day-one of the event will establish the current problems the industry faces, with day-two designed to find ambitious solutions which embrace a more sustainable future, revamp out of date travel models, and forge new collaborations between the product and consumer for the good of humanity. The final session will reveal the five ‘Spirit of Evora Commitments’ (Urgent Acts) which need to be addressed and to which the delegates will be asked to pledge to undertake and report back on their progress next year.
