DESCRIPTION:The European Travel Commission is pleased to invite you to this webinar presenting the ETC’s latest study\, Crises in Tourism: Impacts and Lessons from European Destinations\, which will discuss how Europe’s tourism sector can plan and respond more effectively to multiple types of crises. Along with the study\, ETC has published a comprehensive Crisis Management Checklist to guide National Tourism Organisations (NTOs) in planning through every phase of a major crisis. The Checklist is based on a framework made up of four consecutive phases: preparedness\, response\, recovery and resilience\, and includes key actions under these areas of activity \nDuring the 60-minute webinar\, representatives from TOPOSOPHY will walk participants through the report’s content and offer guidance on how to interpret and use the checklist\, especially when time and practicality are crucial. Participants will receive a brief overview of the key findings of the report\, such as: \n1) The types of crises European tourism is most vulnerable to;\n2) The socio-economic impacts from crises that most prevail in European destinations\n3) The role of an NTO in a crisis \nParticipants will also learn how to effectively utilise the Crisis Management Checklist\, ensuring their organisations are better equipped to face future challenges and safeguard the resilience of European tourism. \nRegister here\n  \n
