European Tourism Trends & Prospects is a series of quarterly reports that offer a concise analysis of key economic and tourism trends in Europe and in relevant outbound markets. Quarterly reports are meant to provide the know-how necessary to monitor the short-term development of European tourism.

High inflation, including rising travel costs, and staff shortages, are the two major risks threatening the ongoing recovery in European travel in 2022. In this session, we will provide an overview of current trends and the outlook for European travel recovery this year. Within this, we will share the likely impacts from these headwinds and explain why we believe these effects will be temporary and won’t derail growth, as well as the likelihood of more adverse outcomes.

The webinar will provide European tourist destinations with insights on:

  • The Status Quo of European Tourism & the Broader Macroeconomic Environment;
  • Key Economic & Tourism Trends;
  • Development of the European Air Transport & Accommodation Sector;
  • Status of Short & Long-haul Travel to Europe.

Please note that the webinar is hosted by ETC and Tourism Economics.
