On May 31 – June 2, ETC organised its 101st General Meeting in Algarve, kindly hosted by Turismo de Portugal. Leading by example, the heads of European national tourism boards met in person for the first time since the start of the pandemic to show Europe’s readiness to restart travel and tourism.
The General Meeting elected Mr Nydegger, CEO of Switzerland Tourism as ETC’s newest Vice-President. He will work closely with the President and other VPs in ETC’s work and in steering the tourism sector towards recovery and a sustainable future.
ETC Executive Unit was delighted to welcome and reconnect with many members and looks forward to more onsite meetings in the upcoming months as the tourism sector embarks on its path to recovery.
