The European Travel Commission (ETC) held its 107th General Meeting in Kaunas, Lithuania, from May 22 to 24.
Tourism leaders from 27 ETC member countries, along with private sector associate members and industry experts, convened to address the significant challenges facing European tourism. The meeting’s primary focus was on building resilience and establishing a robust framework for crisis management in the tourism sector. Given Kaunas’ recent experiences with the pandemic and the impact of the war in Ukraine, it provided an ideal backdrop for these crucial and timely discussions.
ETC also proudly announced that Amadeus Hospitality, Hopscotch Interface Tourism, and Rail Europe will join as associate members in June 2024. This expansion will further strengthen the public-private partnerships that are essential for the sustainable development of the tourism industry.
