The 108th ETC General Meeting, held in Luxembourg from 20 to 22 November 2024, brought together 23 national tourism organisations and 13 associate members to address current challenges and opportunities for the tourism industry.
The discussions focused on sustainable mobility and celebrated the journey as a destination. Experts were invited to an industry forum to explore how NTOs can encourage travellers to opt for more sustainable transport options. Luxembourg provided the perfect backdrop for this discussion, with its commitment to sustainability through free public transportation across the country.
During the meeting, ETC members elected Ana Tripković Marković from Montenegro as the new ETC Vice President. Additionally, two new associate members, AVIAREPS and TLS Group, were approved to join the ETC network starting in 2025.
Luxembourg also hosted the Rail Tourism Awards 2024 ceremony, recognising outstanding campaigns that highlight the freedom, adventure, and sustainability of exploring Europe by train.
