The Sustainable Development Goals bring new challenges and opportunities for the tourism sector. To support the sustainable growth of tourism, destinations and stakeholders must implement effective management practices.
In this context, the European Travel Commission is pleased to support the launch of the online training course on PM4SD (Project Management for Sustainable Development) by its partner FEST. These courses offer proven tools for managing tourism projects more effectively, using the internationally-recognized PM4SD methodology and the standard qualification (accredited by APMG International) that can increase opportunities for tourism project managers.
PM4SD training consists of two levels, the Foundation level, focused on the PM4SD methodology, and the Practitioner level, focused on applying the PM4SD approach to projects. To prepare for the Practitioner courses, you are recommended to complete the Foundation-level training by taking the self-paced online course.
ETC members and their stakeholders benefit from a special rate – 20% off. Please contact the ETC Executive Unit for more information on how to take advantage of this offer.
The online training courses are offered by FEST (an ETC partner), Jlag (an accredited training organization) and TrainingAid (an international tourism training company specialized in sustainable tourism), and supported by the Caribbean Tourism Organization, the Global Sustainable Tourism Council, The Travel Foundation and other industry partners.
