Europeans stay committed to travel as off-season demand rises
73% of Europeans plan to travel between October 2025 and March 2026, showing stable intentions and resilient budgets.
63% will travel beyond their home country, a 3% increase from last autumn, with Southern Europe and the Mediterranean leading preferences.
Travellers are focusing on fewer, more meaningful trips, with nearly half (45%) taking just one holiday in the next six months.

The project “Monitoring Sentiment for Intra-European Travel” gauges the sentiment, drivers and behaviours for domestic and intra-European travel in ten high-volume European source markets – Germany, United Kingdom, France, Netherlands, Italy, Belgium, Switzerland, Spain, Poland and Austria. Key findings and recommendations for destinations and tourism authorities have been made available in monthly reports since September 2020.
This project is co-funded by the European Union.
